Monsters Pals Hiding Places

Here are the two places where my monsters hid today...

Drem Train Station

There were lots of cars in the carpark so hopefully it won't be too long before someone picks it up.

...but it was a different story in Haddington as you can see! There was no one around when I dropped the second monster off at the fountain. I will go down and check on him tomorrow...I am sure someone will have picked him up. I will let you know.

Hide and Seek clues...

These clues will help you find the locations of my two monsters but remember that a member of the public could find them too.

The first of my monsters would like to go dooking for apples but I have told it that there won't be any apples in this fountain!!! maybe lots of soggy leaves.....somewhere in the middle of Haddington.

The second of my monsters said it wanted to go on a Halloween adventure so it asked if it could go for a ride on a witches broom....I said it might be a bit scary and suggested that it should maybe try travelling by train instead! It would probably meet more people that way and not feel quite so sick due to the fact its not too keen on heights......maybe Drem?

My two monsters are very excited now and are all packaged up and ready to go!!!

Wish them luck!!!

(My Pals and I have decided to do another Hide and Seek at the end of November it will still be in East Lothian but using different locations. I will post more information nearer the time)

Halloween Hide and Seek

My Monster Pals are excited at the thought of playing hide and seek on Friday. They spent the afternoon at the Midlothian Ski Centre (Hill End) looking out towards East Lothian deciding where they are going to hide.

Looking out towards East Lothian ... a bit grey but at least the rain stayed off!!!

Give aways

One of the best things about going out for a walk is, for me, coming across unusual, unpredictable STUFF. By stuff I mean stones that look like hearts, patterns in the earth or sand, sculptures that folk have made and left know...Stuff!!!

Well, at the beginning of this year, my Pals and I decided to have some fun and we hid some Love Bugs around East Lothian for the public to find. They were in Haddington, East Linton, North Berwick, Tyningham, Macmerry, Tranent, Dirleton, Gullane to name a few of the towns and villages.

There was even a story about us in the local paper. "Did you catch the Love Bug on Valentines Day?"

Then, when Easter came round we thought we would have another game so we sent out some tiny Easter Bunnies

So we have decided, since we haven't done a give away since Easter, that on the run up to Christmas we would give one SockPal away each month.

The date of the first Give Away will be Friday 29th October. The location will be ... somewhere in East Lothian.

Sock Pal Update

I have started off this week with a few new additions to my Folksy shop

A new batch of Pocket Pals

Three original Halloween themed Teddy Pals...

Spike with his green skulls

Samuel with the Rock Band tattoos

and Sidney !!!

and not forgetting a Kitten Pal called Cody

A few giggly girlie Pals made their way to the fabulous Zuri today. A shop in Haddington which is well worth a visit. It's shelves are full of jewellery, scarves, bags, gifts and now SockPals too! An excellent Christmas shopping venue. I can't believe I said the word!!! Promised I would try not to mention it until the weekend.
We are going off to our first craft fair of the season this Saturday! It is being held in The Stair Arms Hotel, near Pathhead. The event is in aid of the Friends of Crichton Collegaite Church. It's been ages since we've done a fair. We're really loking forward to it. I'll take lots of photos. Wish us luck.

Wish Oliver Good Luck.
He is being shipped off to be a raffle prize at North Berwick High Schools coffee morning this weekend.
The PTA are holding their coffee morning in the Hope Rooms, North Berwick on 9th October from 10-12.
Unfortunately I can't make it so Oliver is going to have to be brave (I hope he finds a nice new family to stay with)

I am helping however, at the annual GirlGuiding fundraiser in Gullane Community Cente this Saturday, from 2-4 where this little puppy is going into the raffle too. He now has a nice cozy blue fleece scarf round his neck. He was feeling a bit chilly.

If you find yourself in either North Berwick or Gullane this weekend come along and support these two groups.
